Really bright citrus, lemon curd, hint of orange almost. Good weight and texture with hints of brioche and a nice mineral edge to it.

Terroir :                                                         60% Hautvillers Premier Cru – 40% Chouilly Grand cru

Grapes:                                                         100% Chardonnay from Calcareous soils

Assemblage :                                                70 %  2015 vintage – 30% Chardonnay solera (2006 to 2014)

80% with malolactic fermentation

Vinification :                                                70% in Meursault barrels – 30% in Inox Stainless

Bottled :                                                       April 2016

Dosage :                                                        6 g/l

They farm 11 hectares which comprise of vineyards they wholly own and 3 hectares owned by other members of their family. Laure and Clement came back to the estate in 2007 and took full control in 2014. Clement previously spend a few years with Selosse. Since taking over they have removed chemical herbicide and pesticide from the vineyards in favour of a more manual and engaged form of viticulture, helping the wines to take a big step forward in terms of concentration and quality.
